Be Happy, Be Inspired

Hi.
I should definitely be doing uni work right now but I’m not, I'm writing you a blog post instead, feeling honored? haha
The story began when I decided that we needed a new printer, because the ones at uni are unreliable and to be quite honest I need all the time I can get at home right now without having to travel half way across London to print at uni, anyway I digress. To cut a long story short, I ended up going to John Lewis to pick up a printer and happened to find myself at the Liz Earle counter...
I've heard so many good things about Cleanse and Polish and what with my skin deciding it hates the winter I thought I would give it a go. I ended up walking away with the Skincare Essentials Kit, Presented in a vanity case, the set contains:

▪   Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser (100ml)
▪   2 pure muslin cloths
▪   Instant Boost Skin Tonic (200ml)
▪   Skin Repair Light - Combination/Oily (50ml)
▪   Orange Flower Body Wash (30ml)
▪   Nourishing Botanical Body Cream (30ml)
Suitable for combination/oily skin
I can’t wait to try this out tonight, and I’ll be doing a full review after using it for a while. I also had a little mooch at some of the Mavela and spotted this gorgeous color called Lagoon. I actually spotted this before looking at the Liz Earle so it kind of inspired to go and have a look at the stand!
Here are pictures incase you don’t know what Liz Earle products look like! ha!

... Deadline season, because there's usually an influx of posts as I furiously try and distract myself from the essays and piles of research staring at me from across the room.
Oh well. I'm not entirely sure what the point of this post is other than to write nonsensical ramblings.
I guess I could give you a little update? There have been quite a few welcomed adjustments recently, we moved flats at the end of September, which was such a relief. Our tenancy was up anyway but the flatmate situation was becoming unbearable.
We now live in a very lovely place and have settled in nicely.
I also got a job at around the same time, since moving to London last year I haven't had much luck on the job front I couldn't even hyper one for the first 6 months and had a few unpleasant experiences with various fast food outlets. Naming no names. Ahem *cough* McDonalds.
I now work for Primark on Oxford Street. It is horrendously busy all the time, and a far less glamourous than you would imagine ;) but is a job no less and it's better than nowt!
I also passed my driving test at the beginning of November, third time lucky! I just wish I could get a car, but there really isn't a need for it living in central London!
So yeah... Just chugging along really. Feeling home sick etc.
Sorry if this felt like a pointless read but if you made it this far, tah!
I hate to disappoint haha I might through in a few pictures, shake things up a bit.

There's a few notd's, I was bored so did a fotd using my UD book of shadows. I styled my hair using my new Tony and Guy Deep Barrel Weaver,

Can anyone recommend a quick drying top coat that is better than Seche Vite? I'm suck of the shrinkage you get with it but need something equally as good in terms of drying time and longevity. Cheers guys.

So I've seen this around the 'blogosphere' (see what I did there?) ok shit joke... Move on.

Anyway I fancied trying it out... This is my very first attempt so it's not as good as some others I've seen and the glitter coat I used wasn't the best. Also... I have ridiculously small nail beds so my nails are like... Small. Stupidly small for the size of my fingers... Which means I have less of a canvas to work on!
Ok enough of that, here's a few pictures. Thanks for (star) gazin' at my post.

This is my favorite lipstick. I'm not usually a huge lipstick wearer, and favor sheer glossy lipsticks. I have a 'colour' that I tend to stick to as well which is usually a muted vintage pinkish kind of tone! I have reasonably pigmented lips too do find it difficult to wear anything too light, nudes are a no go! And I just don't suit red.

I bought this lipstick on a whim as I was ordering a few other things from elf a while ago. I tend not to trust the swatches so much on their website but thought it looked like a nice colour. I would say it was a quite dark muted pink with a kind on purple or blue undertone, but then again I am rubbish at describing things... The pictures are sort of accurate but not quite, as with any photography. The first think I noticed about it was the scent, it is such a gorgeous raspberry mildly reminiscent of the kinds of play makeup you got when you were a kid. It's super creamy, almost too creamy! The only grip I have with it is the packaging, its flimsy and cheap and pretty much wrecked my tube as soon as i wound it up, its hard to explain but because the lipstick os so creamy and not very 'firm' it kind of scrapes along the side of the tube when you are twisting it back down or up, which kinda messes up the while thing and leaves a good smearing of lipstick all over the place But it is so nice on the lips you forget all about it and tbh you can just depot it into another container if it gets to messy. For me it is the perfect shade, and I wear it all the time. The best thing? It cost £1.50! I'd definitely try out some of the other elf lipsticks and suggest you do too! ;)

This is going to be reasonably pic heavy, I am in love. You may feel it's unnatural and a little disturbing to declare love upon a nail polish, but seriously. This polish is amazing. Without further ado here is the proof, it is almost impossible to capture its utter breathtaking beauty but I tried. I purchased mine from an American on eBay but I'm sure it's easy to come by than that if necessary.

Just a quick post showing you my my latest manicure, I picked up this Andrea Fullerton Trio in Smile in a Storm from superdrug for £7.99, they actually have 3 for 2 across all cosmetics at the minute so I got a few other things too. The idea is that you can either wear each color alone or layer them to creat a third color. I decided to just stick with the grey color, but when I get bored later in the week I can stick the other color over the top! The pictures really do not do this polish justice. I found that it applied quite nicely, something that other people have disagreed with but it seemed fine to me. Drying time is quite long, especially if you are layering the other color too, you want to give yourself quite a while before doing anything particularly strenuous. Anyway here are the pictures. Thank you for reading.
