Be Happy, Be Inspired

This is a product I thought I'd never buy. I'm always sceptical about buying 'cheaper' brands when it comes to make up because I can suffer quite badly with blemishes, so I try to avoid anything that may effect my skin that way. I'd come across Wet'n'Wild once before when I'd visited a large Boots store. I bought a few of their products and was reasonably inpressed. since then I havnt really looked at their products again. Its a cheap brand, but the quality of their products oftne suprises me. I'd read on someones blog about the website selling all the products for half price throughout April, and decided to have a look. I was just looking around really, I knew I needed some more powder, and thought for £2.44 I may aswell try their Ultimate Mineral Powder.

I have to say I am loving this powder. I'm really impressed by it, its 9.5gms so you get a reasonable amout of product. It's described as a 'weightless mineral-based formula that provides nature-looking luminous coverage''flawlessly evens out skin tone, gentle talc-free formula' and I have to say, it actually does all of those things. it has a really soft sheen to it that give the skin a nice glow. I haven't had any problems with it with regards to spots either. so all in all, I really like this powder, I think I may even have to make another oder while eveythings half price and get a back up ;)

when I go home again, I'll take some better quality photos of me actually wearing it so you can see for yourself ;)

So, I went to Tesco. Initially just to buy something for lunch but, of course I had to venture down to the beauty aisle. I was just having a look around, nothing in particular that I was after. I saw the Garnier Summerbody Lotion and thought i'd give that a try, seeings as other people keep bainging on about it. I've just rubbed a little bit on to my arm actually, and it absorbed so easily, and it smells really good so, you can't complain for £1.95.

I also came across a little stand with some baskets of lipglosses/sticks etc all for £1.50 as they are being discontinued. so I got a Bourjois 3D effect Lipgloss in Rose Arctic which is a nice dusky pink with blue reflects. I love the formulation of these glosses, they're not sticky and last quite a while, they're nicely pigmented too. I also oicked up a Lipstick by Maybelline (I have no idea what its called) its a light pink with gold reflects, No.20 Gold'n'Roses, Again I like the formulation of this product, its light and feels moisturising. The picture quality is rubbish, but you can kind of get an idea of what they look like...hopefully

I'm going to see I Love You Man, at the cinema tonight, so that should be good. apart from that I have no other plans. I may even whack out another blog in a bit. eurgh that sounded a bit wrong. anyway
bye for now x

Hello, I'm sorry post's have been a bit thin on the ground recently. Just a quick update really... I've been off college for Easter and have been doing NOTHING for about two weeks, literally...nothing. It's great. :)

It was my birthday the other day, and I had a little bit of money given to me. I was 19. I wanted to buy a new bag and I'd seen a few in River Island that took my fancy.

It was love at first sight. I'd hadn't originally seen this bag I think its new in, it was £29.99 so not too expensive and its HUGE. litterally. massive. which is how I like them :)

In 'real life' its a baby pink, with a hot pink lining, not the orange-y color in the picture.

I picked up a few bits from boots while I was in town, I went to the advantage point machine and printed a few vouchers, one being the Free No7 Highlights Powder(when you buy any other No7 Product)and with No7 being on 3 for 2, it worked out that I only actually paied for one product and got the two others free :) I originally got both of the Highlight powders, 3 metalic eyeliners(purple,Blue & Turqoise and one Liquid liner but I gave a highlight powder and the purple metalic eyeliner to my
boyfriends Mum. I think I'll go back and re-purchase those though as I'm impressed with the others I bought.

I'm off to Tesco's now though so may well bring some goodies back with me :D

I can't stop painting my nails this week, I don't know what's wrong with me. haha

Anyway this Nail Polish ariived today along with an order I placed with Wet n Wild. It cost me £1...and I have to say so far Im impressed. The finish is really nice, and it was an smooth application. it took no time at all to dry aswell, so for £1 I'm pretty impressed. The color is E71503 Flirty Rose Creme. All Wet'n'wild products are half price throughout April aswell.

Today is a very sad day. I was out in town earlier, and my bag fell on the floor, nothing fell out so I just picked it back up and carried on. A while later I went to look for something in my bag and noticed a strong smell of nail polish...so I investigated and noticed that the top of my nail envy was missing and it had all spilled into my bag. Disaster.

So now I have Nail Envy residing at the bottom of my bag, I don't really fancy getting a new one for £15 as I had loads left of my other one. Arghghgg.
:(:(:(
does anyone know a cheap retailer?

Ok I'll start with...
1.
Dove Go Fresh anti-perspirant deodorant: I’m really impressed with this, it makes the skin on my underarms really smooth and smelling fresh  I feel safe wearing this I usually worry about sweating but with this I feel fresh as a daisy and it lasts a long time too.
2.
St Ives Apricot Scrub (blemish Fighting): This is a really good exfoliator. I find I need to exfoliate quite regularly and this doesn’t dry out my skin. It’s for oily/blemish prone skin, which I have and find that it really does help to clear my skin when I get spots. It has a really nice like antiseptic scent to it that is cooling on the skin.
3.
Rimmel Volume Booster Lipstick: as mentioned in my last post I love this lipstick.
4.
No.7 Stay Perfect Top Coat: literally what it says on the tin, when I use this, my nail polish with stay perfect. Its adds a nice shine as well. Need I say more?
5.
Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation: I actually bought this a while ago, and have recently started using it again. It’s a really nice light foundation that covers well and adds a subtle sheen to the skin. It has a really nice ‘florally’ (is that even a word?) scent to it as well.
6.
Witch Radiance Serum: this has a really odd consistency, it’s quite runny, but it’s a really nice light moisturizer with light reflecting particles. Given that I have quite oily skin I find that I can wear this alone and feel that my skin is hydrated enough. Good for anyone prone to spots too
7.
Body Shop Tantalising Lip Butter: This is gorgeous. The scent is so nice and the consistency is creamy and smooth, which is unlike some of the other lip butters I’ve tried, I tend to find them almost gritty? It just melts onto your lips. It even tastes great. even better than that ‘Proceeds will be used to support the 2009 campaign raising awareness on HIV and Aids, in partnership with MTV, raising funds for the Staying Alive Foundation.’

I have never been able to wear nude lipstick. Untill recently every nude lipstick i bought just didnt suit me. I found that because my lips are naturally quite red that I just wasn't able to pull it off. I love the idea of nude lips so I didn't end my search, I bought a turquise dress recently and thought that a nice pinky nude lipstick would go well with it so my search began again and actually it was supprisingly easy to find. I'd seen another post about this lipstick so when shopping one day I decided to have a look at it for myself. It was Rimmel's Volume Booster Lipstick in Foxy. I instantly fell in love with the color and it was exactly the shade i'd been after.

It's have a really nice creamy consistancy, and because its 'volume boosting' a nice colling sensation.

Im just really happy that I've managed to find a nude lipstick I can wear. so for that reason alone it's love

I know its been a while, sorry!

anyway, back to the point. Nail polish... this week I will me wearing Barry M nail paint in 295 Turquise. :) love this color.

I know the picture quality is pretty bad, but you get an idea of the color.

I love the Barry M nail paints, probably the best high street brand of polish that I have come across. for £2.95 a bottle they're deffinatly worth it. I just find them so easy to apply and this finish is great, really smooth. I own quite a few of these already and have just orded the Mint Green one and Pale Purple. :) I'm just waiting for them to bring out a pale coral color and then I think my life will be complete. Natural Collection by Boots have a coral color that is just beautiful called Vintage coral, the colors fab but its quite difficult to apply, so if Barry M want to just bring out that color for me then that would be great :) (y)
